If there is a place where sun don’t come

Hopscotch

Opened the door.
Had too look around.
Damn sun does shine
On the old gray town.

New sidewalks 
along the road,
and them new roofs,
nothing’s looks old.

Low and behold
I look down the block.
Kids are here and
playing hopscotch.

We all were laggers 
living off the dole.
May as well be 
In a six foot hole.
